It would probably not surprise you to hear that, here at North Houston Spine and Sports Medicine, we specialize in treating sports injuries. With all those forces thrown around on the field, players take a huge risk. But we understand that the passion for the game is worth it. We want to bring the same passion for keeping you on the field. The goal is to get you back out there and moving at peak physical form as soon as possible.

People have the common misconception that chiropractors only specialize in the spine. Of course, the back is of particular interest to us. The backbone is so important, though, because of its connection to the rest of your body. All our appendages’ nerve groups connect to the central nervous system inside the spine.

Arms

When an injury comes up, a traditional practitioner can prescribe medication to alleviate the pain temporarily, but this is a quick fix. Our team dedicates themselves to our holistic method and understand how to treat the affected muscles, bones, ligaments, and tendons. In your arms, the brachial plexus nerves link your arm and their feeling and movement to your cervical vertebrae, going through your shoulder and chest. Your arm deserves treatment as the complex system it is to bring it back to its full potential.

Legs

Once again, we stay up to date on how to treat injuries all over the body. In-house, we have the machinery to diagnose a severe leg injury. For less serious ones, we can fix you up with the right wrap or brace or give you muscle excitation. If you have torn anything, like ligament or ACL, or sprained your ankle, then we can work with you day to day or on a weekly basis
with the correct physical therapy and leg training. We will keep by your side until you can run circles around the competition.

Upper Body

Our primary focus, the spine, takes many heavy hits through contact sports or ones with frequent vertical impact. The strain from these repetitive forces on the body is what leaves many people with chronic pain in later years. We may feel pressure to find a quick fix to our injury so that we can get back out there right away. But this can lead to the recurring injuries that cause more severe issues down the line. We believe in healing the source of the problem to avoid anything debilitating for our patients.
